I felt very uncomfortable and I did not know what to say. I went to her room to wake her up and she was completly naked and rubbing herself . I was stunned and i acted like i did not see it so i said oh why are your clothes off ...then i let it go and said hey lets get ready for school go get u an outfit~ then a few days later her teacher told me that she saw her sitting on her hands and it looked odd~ so then i told her maddy this is not something you do in public~ then i asked did you need to go potty is that why u had your hands there and she said no i was cold~ i just let it go , but i do not remember doing anything like this. Is this abnormal or normal? what does a parent say when they see something like this?

It's normal, I started this at 4-5. You can email me and I can share with u.
I am almost 25 now.
I suggest u to teach her not to do it publicly. And also lock the door of her home.
But it is normal. Believe me:)

It is normal, just let her know that it is a private thing. When my oldest daughter was young my mother, a nurse, told me to not make a big deal of it. Just remind her if she starts doing it that it is a private thing and if she wants to do that she needs to go to her room. If you are concerned ask her doctor about it and he should be able to give you ideas on how to deal with it.

i am shocked i have never heard of a 6 year old doing this i don't see how this is normal it might be but i have never heard of such i would say this child has been exposed to behavior she doesn't need to be around ( this is my opinion)
