They aren't usually on paychecks any longer. The EIN is as protected as a Social Security number for an individual. The EIN is on the W-2. If you haven't gotten a w-2, let the IRS know you were unable to obtain the EIN.

Your employer's EIN won't normally be on your paycheck. It will be on your W2, though. An EIN is 9 digits long and is comprised of 2 digits, a hyphen, and 7 digits, such as 99-1234567.

9 digits total

There should be 9, parses as XX-XXXXXXX.
