try not to let him sleep so much in the day

Try this , I had a night owl to. I would not let him fall asleep after 6:00 pm That was play time so he would get real tired out.
Fed him about 7:00 then at 10:00 I would give him some baby cereal. and a bottle He slept through the night really good after that. You could also try soft music in the room some times little sounds startle the baby and once they are awake they are ready to play.

Babies and children can change their sleeping pattern at any time. When your baby first wakes let him/her know your there, tell them goodnight, if they normally go to sleep with a mobile, start that up. I was not able to leave the room with either of my two, I would simply lay on the floor in their room until they fell asleep. With my 2 it only took about 3 nights of this before they learned to sleep through the night.

Don't know but you need to nip it in the bud. Let him cry it out. He is way too old to need to be fed in the night, so peek and make sure he's safe and then ignore him. It will be between 3 and 7 nights before he re-learns to sleep through the night, but it will be worth it.

teething can cause this, I did day care for 21 years and am a mother of 4 and grand mother of 2, and teething will wake em a lot
or even something they have seen on tv may not bother you but disturbs them also over stimulation from too many toys visitors etc

your baby is old enough to sleep through the night.
