Your breathing tube starts in the back of your throat. It splits into the bronchial tube which splits again to go to both lungs. The esophagus goes to your stomach and the breathing tube is protected from food by the epiglottis. As the tube goes into the lungs it splits again many times to get the air all the way down into the lungs.

Laparascopy is where they look inside with a tint tv camera to see what it looks like and often can fix problems also.

Good luck

The breathing tube goes all the way into your trachea, below the level of the larynx (voice box/ adam's apple).
