I have curly wavy hair and i want to blow dry it straight without using a straightening iron. Also how do you get your hair to be shiny, can you do it w/o using a lot of product?

i dont use any products.. what i do is put the top half up in a ball on th etop of my head, with a clip. then i separate the bottom in two areas. then from each areas i take small bits and take a ROUND brush (one of the ceramic ones i think or something like that) and a ceramic hair dryer (with that end that is big then gets smaller... hard to explain.). take the strands and put the brush at the top of the root (under the hair) and just pull lightly downwards and follow your hairdryer with it.

its hard to explain, but thats how to do it.. it works amazingly for me. im really good at it, so im trying to explain it but its hard. dont even use products.. or a straightening iron. this way you get more volume so its more natural looking

Proper tools are the answer. A good round styling brush is helpful to use with a blowdryer on a medium-high setting, turning the hair under, while pulling straight. Finish by using a cool setting on your dryer to close the cuticle of the hair to make it shiny.

However, I do recommend using a good styling product applied before you blowdry, to protect it. Use one that has NO ALCOHOL in the ingredient list, to keep your hair protected from drying out and to add to the shine. There are lots of water-based gels and products useful for promoting shine.

blow dry it in sections with a round brush and if its not shiny enough go to the store and buy a product that adds shine.

I had my hair straightened a long time ago. She just used a brush and blow drier. Of course it was in AZ where the humidity was low and it didn't last long.
