The deadline for companies to mail out most tax documents was January 31st.

If you made less than $600 in non employee wages they are not required to fill out a 1099 MISC. One thing to do is to contact them to make sure they mailed it to the right address.

You can contact the IRS to report the company for not providing the tax documents in a timely manner, but you will need to give them a little more time before you report them.

It's supposed to be postmarked by 1/31/07. Are you sure the issuer of the 1099 has your correct address? That's a common problem for recipients of 1099s. Since we're at the end of February, I think a phone call is in order to the issuer to find out what's going on.
