reason 4 question is that i have been getting a call from various #'s don't recognize the #'s so i call again and no answer this time i called and 67 and pretended to be telemarketer to know who is calling then later lady called back and threat me with the police for harrassment. i just wanted to know if my man is messing with me. please help and advise

I doubt it very much. In the US there are some issues that arose from the HP scandal where private investigators pretended to be neighbors or otherwise misrepresented themselves. The laws in the US are being enforced with very little mercy and on very technical grounds. I think there is perverse delight among prosecuting attorneys in convictions that invalidate basic community standards of justice.

Sounds like someone is messing with you. If you're arrested or simply questioned by police, just calmly tell them your reasoning for calling the number.

Instead of pretending to be a telemarketer, just ask if your man is there. You know, say "hi, this is xxx, can I talk to yyy real quick?" Then you'll know.
