Maybe they are looking for an excuse as to why he won't win a championship. They can say we was too busy being an owner which didn't give him time to be a driver.

I see Dale, Jr. in the #3 or the #25 (or 5) Bud vehicle next twelve months. He has mentioned that he fairly would not opt for to amplify JR Motorsports to run Cup. DEI has shown that they can't positioned Jr. in a aggressive trip. Gibbs is an prolonged shot and the different communities are out of the question. observe: Dale Earnhardt included became into named as such by utilising Dale Earnhardt, Sr. while he began the employer, long till now Jr. ever drove a Cup vehicle (he gained 2 Busch titles for DEI).

I am sorry I am a Jr. fan but the last time I checked I didn't want him to get the majority of the ownership in DEI. See I think if he had soome say would be ok. I think Treasa does need to step aside from some of the business. Treasa help Dale Earnhardt with the business side of things, but she is not good at running the operations behind the cars and that. That was Dale Earnhardt who ran that part of the operations. I think they need someone who knows how to run the operations of the cars. I think Jr. does need a little say in the business side for the cars cause he is the one driving it. I think all drivers should have some say with the car part of the operations. Tereasa is good with running the business for marketing and that but they need someone to run the managing of the cars since that was Dale Earnhardts job.

i think personally, that he might feel that he'd make a better owner than a driver. i love the guy and back him fully but he hasn't been consistant lately and neither has the other teams really. i can understand why he'd want to have majority ownership since it was his father's company and his dad passed on the name to him, so why not the company. at the same time, one of the broadcasters made a good point a week ago when they said that if Dale Sr had wanted to him to have full ownership he would probably have put that in his will right? then of course people will ask if he had just not put that in his will yet, followed by a ton of other questions that we'll never probably be able to answer. i guess basically if he wants to own the company, and he has a drive to want to work as an owner of his father's company then it must for whatever reason, be something important to him and something he really wants to do.

Yes, Dale Sr. drove for RCR, so why did he build DEI? Simple, for his kids. Dale Sr. molded JR to be a champion and did just that in the Busch Series and then brought him into the Cup series for he knows JR has potential. Just because the cars not preforming don't mean JR lacks talent. (Another reason why JR needs in the owner seat).
Next question, why did Dale Sr bring JR to Cup racing for DEI and not RCR? Again simple answer, refer to answer to my 1st question, it was built for his kids.
JR will not abandon his dad's wishes if his step mom don't give him ownership. He will gut it out till the day comes for he knows some how some time it he will be owner of DEI.
BTW there has been successful driver/Owners in NASCAR!
Watch and see...it's gonna happen again with two Dale Sr took under his wing. Michael Waltrip and JR!

Mmm are you saying that his father was not successful owner/driver? Interesting.....
I think that you are right about him being nothing special, but he did try his best to make a name for himself and tried not to live in his father's shadow. He is talented, good driver and knows a lot about both DEI and NASCAR. How about Teresa Earnhardt - what all does she know about nascar and driving? Dale Jr is the son and he knows what he is doing, he should be a big part of DEI

Because his father built it for his kids not the TRAMP that's runnin it! Does it say TEI on the door? NOPE it says DEI. Dale Jr is the face of that company and Teresa is screwing it up majorly! She doesn't know what the hell racin is all bout. Seems like she's never at the track until Kevin Harvick said shes a lame duck, and an owner. Boy did that drag her butt of the pedestal didnt it? Let Jr. run it, He will do 1000 times better than her! Dale Sr. would be so angry to see what shes doin to him and the company.

I think Dale wants what is rightfully his. DEI was not built so Teresa and Taylor would have something after Sr died. It was built by a man who grew up racing. He wanted things to be better for all his kids than what he had.
I know drivers/owners don't usually keep things together very well, but I don't think Jr wants to be there to make every decision. He just wants to be able to make certain decisions. There have been times when things were needed at the DEI shops that they could not get approval for. According to many interviews I have heard, Jr just wants to be able to make decisions to keep things running as they should. It can't be easy to know what needs to be done but not have the authority to handle it.
I also think Jr. working for Teresa is a bad idea. They have never gotten along very well. It can't be easy working for someone you don't like being around. They are just too different.

I'm wondering why you are so confident that it will never work, and that it's such a bad move????
Anyway, as far as the ownership goes, it's his to own, and here is why. Dale Sr made DEI for his children, to prep them and give it to them, DEI is for Sr's kids, its theirs to have; for me that is the bottom line. And if Teresa refuses to abide by her late husband's wishes for why he started DEI, then that is about as wrong as you can get. She needs to respect his wishes for that company and carry out his plans. There are enough ppl in place doing things running things, that Jr could easily be a very successful owner/driver. You say there are no successful owner/driver teams, but what you forget is, not everybody is the same, always keep that in mind.

WHY? Are you kidding me....
Why should he NOT get control and 51% of DEI, what did his daddy build it for if NOT for his legacy to his children?? Theresa know this, she did from the get go. As Darrel Waltrip stated last week " Dale would look over at me after the race and say, " this is what we do, build it for our famlies, something for them" Come on, give me a break, it has NOTHING to do with his ability to drive a car in NASCAR, we know that he is an exceptional driver in his own right, he has already proved that time and time again.!!
This is his daddy's legacy and his birthright to be DEI....he is DALE EARNHARDT JR for crying out loud.

it,s not just Dale, Jr. fans but, NASCAR fans in general. I think that anyone who, knew anything at all about, Dale, Sr., could pretty much figure out what His plan for D.E.I's future was and, I don't think they included Teresa, with majority ownership. I'm sure that He meant for Her to have a role but, a minor role. as far as His not leaving a will, I don't think that's so odd. He was a race car driver. most of them don't look that far into the future and, the ones that do, don't see something that negative, happening. if they did, there would be a lot less driver's. it's not about Teresa doing what's legal but, what's right. for the sake of D.E.I. and, the memory of Sr., I hope She does.
