I'm a Born Again Christian, and this is a group of people that get slammed the most by so many especially Hollywood,(TV, Movies, Media). But, yet don't say anything else about a religious group or organization or there is recourse. Maybe if you tried it instead of making fun you'd find the blessings that we find in our beliefs. Christ died so we would live. And He is always there even in hard times.

Christians are persecuted and slammed because they are natural enemies of Satan. Satan is behind every attack on Christians. He takes great pleasure in causing God's children hurt and harm. He's not interested in attacking any other religious groups because their gods are no threat to him, but Jesus Christ is his worst nightmare, as are the followers of Jesus Christ. Remember what Jesus said, "Blessed are you when men revile, hate, and persecute you...rejoice and be exceeding glad for great is your reward in Heaven". (paraphrased) Christians will always be hated in this world because we represent purity, truth, and light. The world cannot receive it, because they are of a carnal mind. Don't expect sinners to act like saints and love you for who you are. It is not going to happen. But, God has the last word for those who cause us grief. "Be not deceived, God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap". Anyone who bashes Christians better put on their boxing gloves because they've just stepped into the ring with God.

Yes, and I know you are right. The Catholics are being beaten up daily, and why? Because the Pope has more power then any Hollywood type could ever buy. And beat up on Mel Gibson, condemn his movie, and then have to eat their words when it is highly successful. We,that is, Christians are the biggest majority in this country. We cross all color lines, races, genders, classes, and education levels, and they just can't stand that. And, by the way, no matter how one feels about illegal immigration, they are 99% Christians to.

You haven't noticed all the shows with Arab terrorists as the theme? Arabs didn't bomb Oklahoma City Federal building or the Atlanta Olympics, or Abortion clinics in Alabama.
It also might surprise to know that most Atheists in this country are former Christians who learned to think.

although I dont agree with makeing fun of any religion, I think the answer to your question is that, in America at least, Christianity is the majority, and people figure that they deserve to be brought down some, since they're already in charge in a sense.

Like everything else in liberalism, anything too big must be evil and cut down to size, America and religion especially!

You misunderstand. ALL religious groups are fair game.

And perhaps you should stop and think about why so many people openly make fun of your beliefs.

MY friend. if christianity, our lifestyle not religion, cause that's not what it is.. if it were not the only KEY TO LIFE AND THE MOST TRUE OUT OF MILLIONS THEN ....it would have not been the center of peoples themes and converstions that my friend is judging truth.

Christians of any kind are hardly the most 'slammed' religion. What planet are you watching TV on?

At any rate, I'm perfectly happy with my own religion, thanks.

You can stop making fun of the handicapped kid in class, but at the end of the day he is still handicapped.
