a website where you could post a "wanted" or "offer" of a good deed or favor?

That is a very very neat idea.... some people have time & energy to do stuff and other people need stuff done - help with their taxes, fixing a faucet, running an errand, etc.

that is an excellent idea....call around and ask the older people in your neighborhood if they could use your strength for 30 minutes. It would be very sweet of you to go change lightbulbs, wash clothes, change the sheets..things the elderly find it hard to do...some can't even stand up long enough to cook...
This is the fruitages of the spirit...a nice thing to do...God loves when we help one another with good deeds.

There is an "organisation" in U.K., bit I can't remember what it is called, whereby people can obtain goods and services without using money. So, if you needed your car fixing, instead of paying, you would offer your services or goods in return.
It's really bugging me now. because I can't remember what it's called !
