You sound like a commercial.
I use Crest. I alternate between Pro Health and whitening expressions. They have a really good new flavour called vanilla mint.
I noticed immediate results.

Or... Dental Care Toothpaste is baking soda based and also very effective.

As far as over the counter pastes are concerned, there is a great number of tooth pastes that will do what you want. You have a choice of flavors, which is a great newer idea. I would recommend one that tastes the way you want, whitens and keeps plaque production down. You will have to try a couple to find the best paste.

If you do not find one that you like in the stores, ask your dentist which brands they recommend. Some dentists carry a number of more selective brands that may be just what you are looking for.

BTW, I have heard great things about Crest's whitening mouth wash. Try it along with whatever paste you choose. Your gums and teeth will appreciate it.

Also, if you are using an electric toothbrush, many warranties are voided if you use a whitening toothpaste. I know that my Sonicare was. It did not affect my Braun. Read the manufactures' warnings first.

Good luck! Let us know which paste you end up choosing.

from what we usually recommend with my patients and which i personally use, i recommend colgate total, or total plus whitening or total plus whitening with baking soda and peroxide. if you want to whiten your teeth and keep your breath stay fresh the colgate total plus whitening with baking soda and peroxide is the best.. till here its still best for you to contact your dentist and ask his or her recommendation of what brand of toothpaste is best for you..

take care
