Because I'm an Atheist and I believe that it's very possible that he was a real man but without all the supernatural made-up stuff that's in the Bible.

Yes it is very possible. All you need to believe is Jesus really existed, but wasn't the true son of God, that would make you a non-believer, but historically accurate. The story of Jesus was created by his disciplines who wrote it down after he died, and may have changed the true story upon reflection and faith in his martyrdom.

You betcha.
Short and sweet :
Atheism is the disbelief in the existence of any deities.
So to be an atheist you just don't believe in Gods persay.

It has nothing to do with spiritualism as some may indicate.
You can even believe in the possibility of an afterlife - an atheist simply either does not believe in or is not certain of the existance of a deity figure.

no. Christianity tries to teach that Jesus actually existed and was at the same time, the Son of God. I mean you could still be an atheist and believe he existed but it won't go along with what Christianity believes in.

I think most Atheists see Jesus as a historical figure who was later idolized. Kinda like Alexander the Great (but with a better marketing dept)

There are three options as to ones beliefs about Jesus, all of which include the belief that He was a real person. (This fact is historically undebatable. There is more evidence as to His existence than for that of any other historical figure, including Shakespeare.)

The three options are:
1) He was a lunatic. (He believed He was God, but was not.)
2) He was a liar. (He said He was God, but knew He was not.)
3) He was God. (He said He was God, and He was.)

Sure. Some people think that Jesus is actually a very good business man who created x'mas so businesses can survive during the cold winter by all these people buying x'mas presents ;)

It is quite possible to believe that Jesus was an actual historical figure without believing that he was God.

That seems like the most obvious interpretatin of events to me - he existed, but was just a charismatic man who was arrested and killed for being a political troublemaker. The mythology was made up afterwards by others.

Oh yeah quite possibly he did exist, but just an ordinary man who got himself a following, claimed he was the son of god,and pissed off the authorities so got executed for it.
