it ranges up to $100 in mainstream salons. it all depends upon where you go and what all you have done. thing is, you really do get what you pay for... really.

if you get highlights in your color, it will cost you more than $100. the thing is, it gives you a lot most dimension and can look really nice.

you do get what you pay for. more expensive stylists have the money and resources to go to expos and various training events where they learn the latest & greatest ways to do your hair.

you NEED to have your hair done when you begin to have roots. they will just touch up the roots without re-dying your entire head and damaging the hair more. usually about every 4-6 weeks depending upon how quickly your hair grows. i suggest having a standing appointment where you have your hair cut & touched up at the same time (then you don't procrastinate and end up waiting too long with super bad roots).

First of all it's going to depend on the salon, so I would definately suggest calling around. Usually all overs start anywhere between 25-40 and can continue on up, depending on how long your hair is, how thick it is, how much gray, and how many bottles of color the stylist will have to use. So, I suggest before jumping into a color, consult with your stylist and let them know from the beginning what you want and don't want. A good salon will include a blow dry with the color so you can see the results afterwards and if there needs to be changes made. But you also need to remember that even though you are applying color over the gray areas, it may come out lighter than your natural (if thats the way you are wanting to go) and that the color swatches are not always going to match up to what the color turns out to be. People need to realize that the color swatches are done on white hair and not colored hair. Hope your experience is a good one!

i went to a mall salon and it cost me $100 for a cut and color. It was the first time i ever paid someone to color my hair and the last the girl did an awful job. But having the roots done shouldn't be as much. I have been doing my own for about 20 yrs with stuff from the beauty supply store. If you are gonna get high-lites then you should have a pro do them but if you are going with 1 color i would do it myself. Depending on how fast your hair grows it is about every 6-8 weeks.

I own a salon and the price range differs from place to place. Some places are much more expensive due to the area they are in and how wealthy the people are. They can run anywhere from $25.-$50 dollars. Some places even charge you just to have your hair dried afterwards which is nuts. You would have to have your hair then colored everywhere 5-6 weeks depending on the regrowth from your grays. i hope this helps you. Call around first and ask places how much they charge so you can get the better rate.

I agree with all the comments on price. If you are just trying to cover the gray you might want to check with Sally's (California) which sell all kinds of hair products. You may color your hair for about $10 yourself and is easy. But if you want hi and low lights (two colors) than you better go to a salon. I have hi and low lights and I go every 6-8 weeks, which is about $90 - $130 depending on what is happening.

The price will depend on where you live and what salon you go to. Sometimes within the salon the will be different prices based on training. How often will depend on if it is all over color or a weave and how fast your hair grows. Whoever you chose should be able to tell all about the maintenance.

It would cost anywhere between $35.00 and $70.00 depending on the length and thickness of your hair. You should, however, always consider that the darker you go in color the better it is on your hair. Now I'm not saying you should go black but 1 or 2 shades darker would cover the gray better. Also just touch ups at the roots cost a lot less!!
Good Luck!

I honestly go about once a year. I have kids so it is pretty hard to make it in there. When I go I spoil myself and go for Mario Triccocis so the haircolor is about 60 bucks for all over and then I think its 30 more if you want color all over with highlites. If you go somewhere else a local salon, etc they are usually about 40 bucks and honestly its the same quality. The color lasts depending on each person but it can last anywhere from 4-9 months in my experience.

I pay about $80 for all-over color, more for highlights. I don't replace highlights each time I get color. I use a shampoo to prolong my color.

I asked one of those walk-in salons about color price, and they said $30.

Remember some people are better with color than others. Again, you usually get what you pay for.
