ive been tweaking my windows vista for quite long...i even changed some of my internet explorer's reg entry and i think it caused it not to work...not just ie7 isnt working, including yahoo messenger, its not working 2...i windows update is also failing to search for new updates...i really dont know whats wrong...can someone help me with my problem...just check the links below for screenshots...

i havent made any system restore point and it was like a month ago since ive encountered these problems...

Dont' think it's IE thats the problem as update doesn't use IE.

Right click on the network icon in the botton right of the toolbar the 'diagnose and repair'. Let Vista do it's thing as it's quite effective at at troubleshooting.

System restore may not work as it does't restore all aspects of the registry, if it did, you wouldn't be able to undo previous restore!!

Try a registry repair tool if your still having trouble, but review them first.

Might also be related to the Antivirus / Internet-Security Suite you are using.

The Vista Update Error very much looks like HTTPS SSL connections are encrypted.

If - for instance - you use Kaspersky temporarily disable encryption for HTTPS SSL on port 443 (right click on taskbar icon -> Settings -> Service -> Network Settings -> Portsettings

if you have not done a system restore then I would try this first take it back a month to a date you remember you did not have this problem see if this works for you it should

The same screens appear to me here, I think that explorer7 has some bugs,and it needs to be patched by microsoft.I think that vista is not ready enough to browse the net.
