A coop is a chicken house, and is a building, not a cage. The roost is the sleeping spot, and can be just about anywhere a chicken chooses to sleep.
A cage, such as used to hold show birds for an exhibit is called the pen.
Edit: Nesting boxes are exactly what they sound like. They are open boxes which provide a place for hens to lay eggs.
