Can anybody enlighten me as to what this may be? My daughter seems to have two yellow bands going round her abdoman. One level with her stomach and the other slightly higher up on the rib area. The skin looks otherwise normal but tinged with a yellowy colour. She pointed it out to me while in the bath. Any ideas? xx

It could be the skin pigment whether normal or not DON'T worry too much if she is otherwise fit and well.
Make her an appointment with her Dr just to be on the safe side.

Without really examining the site, very difficult to diagnose...please take her to your GP, if this persists for more than 24 hrs.
My guess is that it could be a garment causing these marks ???

You should take her to the doctor. Any time there is a problem with a child (even if it seems small and insignificant), take them to a doctor.

I'd get it checked out. It could be Pityriasis Veriscolor - this is a fungal infection that can be spread by heat (too hot showers/baths/hot water bottles) it is very dry as well. I'd take her to the doctors just to check tho!

I think she's wearing a girdle while at school but doesn't want you to know about it.
