I read what the Discovery Channel has up about it. It is a little short on details, but the ones that are there point to a pretty good case.

The evidence is that the names are all over the walls. It has Joesph, Mary. Son Jesus and James. Wife of Jesus Mary and son Judah. The DNA recovered shows the relationships are exactly what the markers describe etc. And the dates are all right. It isn't a slam dunk, but the odds of all the names coming out exactly the way the Bible story is are huge. This would be accepted any where if it didn't have conflicts with the Bible stories.

Here it is: http://dsc.discovery.com/convergence/tomb/tomb.html?clik=www_wh_1

I will certainly watch the full show on March 4.

Yes - go to Discovery.com and see for yourself. Or, just watch it on TV on March 4 at 9pm on Discovery...

Tomb containing 10 ossuaires, 6 bearing inscriptions (and, of the thousands discovered in the past, not many have inscriptions, so this is rare indeed...) Turns out that the patina on the "jesus" ossuary forensically matches the patina on the osssuary of James, brother of Jesus, that was annouced a couple of years back and beleived to be fake. Its now known not to be fake. Also, contains an ossuary inscribed "Judah, Son of Jesus".

So what if it was discovered in the 80's - the tomb was emptied and catalogged and left in a warehouse, where no one bothered to study it. You are talking about Israelis here....not the biggest bunch of researchers on the planet... So, someone finally took notice, got it studied and here are the results - and youre gonna say it took too long for the results so its fake? Youve been waiting 100 times longer (2000 years) for the return of Jesus...is that long enough for me to balk at you?

Well, one thing that I find quite interesting is that this tomb is nothing new to experts, there was even a film made about it some years ago. Quite frankly, most, if not, all of the experts arn't making much of this, just like they didn't make much of it back then, cuz the arguments for it are very weak. They talked about it on http://www.wayofthemasterradio.com in hour one of today's show, it should come out in podcast later today.

I don't know if it is true or not, but it will take quite a bit of convincing for me to believe it. I won't be able to watch the show when it airs, but I hope to have a friend record it for me so that I can watch it.

The link below is the official site of the findings.

This is complete BS. Reported, studied and debunked over ten years ago. Pure crapola. And I am speaking scientific analysis not religiously bebunked. The names on the ossuaries are the most common at the time, as for DNA testing ofcourse they have the same signatures, everyone of that race can be connected.

Another "DaVinci Code" type hoax. Just another attempt by people who hate Christ and what He stood for and did to discredit Christianity, and it will crash and burn as all others have. For some info on this from a true scholarly source, go to this sight:

Anyone who says they took 20 years to decipher something, either does not know what they are doing, or really has no clue at all.

very unlikely. Even more unlikely is that it will convince any number of people, true or not.

It does not matter what anybody here says. You will believe it because you want it to be true. It is a crock though.
