There is also a book called Phantom of the Opera Companion that was released around the time the movie came out. It has the complete original screenplay as well as over 150 images from both the movie and the stage productions.

They change a lot. That's why I despise the movie and will always hold the Broadway production in high regard. Some scenes were cut, dialogue edited or cut completely, and what really makes my hackles sit up and turn red is that they removed the entire third verse from the title song. Also the exceptionally tacky electronic hand claps in the beginning of the movie version of the title song are unbearable. Emmy Rossum and Gerard Butler should have their vocal cords removed and fed to the dogs. Go for the Broadway/Original London production music!

I found a book version with the complete libretto and many pictures of Weber's original staging at my local, small-town library!
