It depends from the person. We live in a little town called Mountain View Ar. We love it there. We are ready to start a family and it is a perfect place to do it. It is near Memphis and Little Rock so if you want to go to city you can. It is middle of mountains so the view is awesome!

Let's see.....I can check off a few as NOT the best places: Killeen, TX; Junction CIty, KS; Cleveland, OH; Fairborn, OH.
I don't think I've lived anywhere in the States that is the BEST. Maybe Seattle or Olympia, WA.

to raise a family is schools are your concern they say NJ is tops, but so damn expensive there. I would also think parts of Florida, not all though.
Generally people have said the east coast is good for raising children but it is too expensive.
Also take a look at areas in Virginia, the carolinas like charleston.

Oklahoma is great, I am from Chicago and I did not want to raise my kids there. I moved right out side of OKC it I love it here, country and the city all close to eachother

Michigan, the summers are hot, the winters are beautiful
Live by lake michigan and go to the beach everday in the summer and enjoy snow in the winter. 4 seasons baby!!
The beaches in michigan are so much more beautiful then an ocean's beach

i think the best place to live would e on Mulholland drive in los angelos california. and in newton massachusutts. it is right near boston. and in long island new york. and one more place. some were right on south beach miami florida.
