Ok.. So I'm going to be in VEGAS in 2 weekends for the Las Vegas Nextel Cup race and while I'm there I was going to do some betting. What do you think about this bet? NASCAR HOTPASS the past 2 weeks in a row has carried the winner of the race on there programming. So, I'm going to place 5 bets on the 5 NASCAR HOTPASS drivers. Good Idea? or Bad Bet? The drivers that have been chosen are subject to change, but stand right now as -- #2 Kurt Busch, #9 Kasey Kahne, #11 Denny Hamlin, #44 Dale Jarrett, and #?? Wild Card... Also, There's no way I'd bet on Jarrett because MWR doesn't have the equipment to win a race and never will, and neither does Toyota(yet!). So, If you would make this bet, also include who you would pick as your 5th driver! (Kahne, Kurt Busch, Hamlin, Wild Card, and ?Your Pick?)

Well Jimmie has won there the last 2 years in a row so I'd say he's not a bad bet. Kyle is due here, I think he's had a 3rd and a 4th the last couple of years plus it's his hometown. You obviously like Hendrick so it's always a good thing when you put money on guys you like, no conflict of interest. The other drivers in the HOTPASS deal look good and I would have no problem throwing some $$$ down on them.

Who cares who won in the past the track has completely changed. Why do you think loads of teams have gone there and tested, because it is like racing on a new track.

I am not a Stewart fan but I believe he is the pick to win the cup this year. He won the shootout and had the car to beat at Daytona and also at California. In an interview with him after he tested at LVMS he said that he was able to run around the bottom of the track and you know how fast he is when he can hug the line at the bottom of the track. I would add Stewart to your list of bets.

You forgot Tony Stewart and Kevin Harvick. They are running very strong except for some stupid luck they would be right up front of the points if it was for a flat tire or to fast in pit row or a stupid accident. They will contend in Las Vegas

I would add Mark Martin. He has always done good on the intermediate tracks, as We saw last week in California, He is off to an excellent start this year and, He has won in VEGAS, before.

Well if you got Denny, jarrett, & Busch i dont think you're gonna do too good.
It's mainly just luck, though, like all other betting.
