Worldwide, the Anglican Communion is dominated by the very large number of Anglicans in Africa. These are outraged now at the American church, the Episcopalians, who accept out-of-the-closet gays, and even elected a gay to be a bishop. Further, the American church has elected a woman to lead it, a position which everywhere else is held only by a male.

The US Episcopal Church considers it is moving forward by making these changes, accepting women and gays. But the worldwide Anglicans say they will never accept these things. If the American church does not back down, the worldwide communion may very well kick them out.

Should the US Episcopal Church now conform to the ways of the worldwide church? Or should they continue to be accepting of gays and just leave the worldwide Anglican Communion?

As an Episcopalian, I want the US Episcopal church to stand firm in what the majority of the diocese support, which is that woman can be the PB and that openly gay men and women can enter the preisthood. If the other primates don't ammend the ultimatum, then the only answer for the Episcopal church is to get thrown out. Quitting is not an option.

The Anglican Church has expressed a persistent choose for cohesion and has bent over backward to allow ECUSA to backpedal from their heretical perspectives. Anglican church homes at the instant are sprouting up interior of america and are rapidly becoming from an inflow of Episcopalians who prefer to return to the orthodox faith. the subject concerns concerning homosexuality and gay clergy heavily isn't resolved till the Episcopal communion disavows their modern stance and return to the Apostolic and Biblical doctrine of the religion. Homosexuality is a existence sort it is in direct conflict with scripture and the classes of the church fathers. there is not any Biblical premise for permitting gay clergy and to sell the different view is fake doctrine. As Christians, we don't hate or dislike homosexuals. We in simple terms have self assurance that their existence sort is a sin as this is defined in the Bible and as such, is irreconcileable to scripture.

They don't have to do anything, they are being booted OUT! And the fact is that it isn't a matter of accepting women and gays they ARE accepted regardless. The question is should active gays be clergy, and should we sanctify same sex marriages.

they should stick to their guns and do what's right. If that means they are ostracized, so be it.

If the other churches were stoning people to death, we would be properly outraged if a US church were expected to follow suit. Same principle.

Shouldn't each family decide what is right for them? The question then might be, "Do I want my kids growing up in that atmosphere".
