which she never does. Also, she only ate 2/3 of her food this morning. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow. She's been scratching her right ear more than usual, but I don't think that's connected. It's not hot, it's actually pretty cold, too.. Other than that, she's her normal self. She's also spayed, and 2 years old. Anybody have any experience with this?

Diabetes!!! Have her checked right away. My dog began drinking copious amounts of water and when I took her to the vet - she has diabetes.
Not too big a deal - She gets 2 shots of insulin a day and of course nothing with sugar in it....
That was 4 years ago......so get her to the vet now - before it gets too bad.

My dog had a similar problem a few years back, my vet recommended checking all the routine things, plus did a test to see if she was diabetic it's a good thing to know because turns out she was!! Good luck tomorrow!

Bringing her to the vet is the right thing to do. Excessive drinking can be an indication of diabetes or a kidney infection. I don't want to alarm you, she's a bit young for diabetes.

I think u need to go to the vet and ask..... i believe ur dog is hydrated in some way but not in a hot day way..... my dog is like that sometimes...

is she getting more exercise than usual? maybe she has eaten something in the yard that made her stomach upset..... a vet check , i guess, is in order.

Maybe she had been more active lately or doesn't like the way her food tastes.
