Spring through late summer - fares are cheaper - weather is better for flying. Spring and summer are 'off season' in the Caribbean yet temps are really nice. It's off season because winter is the preferred time to travel there from colder climates [it is also the most expensive time to travel]

I have been traveling regularly every summer since 1988 and have NEVER experienced a hurricane....

It depends on the weather and prices. For example, if there's a hurricane season, I wouldn't want to go. I can get cheapest deals but it's all about searching and comparing, whether it be winter, spring, summer, fall. I went in April for only $610.00. I went in February for like $670.00 (3 weeks) -- can be up to a month. Both are last year. For up to a month, say for the whole month of February to maybe the beginning of March for only $754.60. All in Canadian funds. It all depends on fare costs.

Spring is great. It is nearly as warm as the summer and the hurricane season is not yet underway. Don't go after end of June or mid July through November.

Spring or very late fall (November/December). You'll miss the hottest weather (It can be fairly unbearable) and you'll also miss the hurricane season which could put a damper on your vacation plans.

Anytime other than Hurricane season. Also check the political stability of some of the carib islands before going there.
