I am planning on studying in Australia in Spring 2007, Australia's autumn season. I think Brisbane would be the best place for me to go, based on the weather and location to both sydney and Great Barrier Reef.

Which uni should I study at?

G'day,

My suggestion will be to read the course information from each uni. They may have the same name, but sometimes different course contents. For example, flexibility to combine subjects from different faculty/school as part of your degree.

As far as quality, both uni have the same quality and recognition everywhere.

Hope this helps. Good luck on your study and welcome to Australia :)

It depends really I suppose on what you are studying. I go to the University of Queensland, and as far as universities go (and I'm not just saying this cos I go to the uni) UQ is a pretty good place. It's closer to the heart of brisbane than Griffith (at the Nathan Campus) and has lovely grounds and facilities. I can certainly recommend it.

Well Griffith Uni is situated closer to the Gold Coast than Birsbane and is therefore closer to NSW, as well as only being about an hour from Brissie.

UQ is located in St Lucia, which is in Brisbane city. Brisbane is only about an hours drive to the Coast, so either one you choose will be close to what you are after.

consider the different answer. UQ is between the desirable Universities in Australia with a super acceptance and provide you the actual college journey. Griffith is okay and is extra effective than UQ in some aspects including ingenious levels as UQ has a limited presence in it. Brisbane is the extra effective determination out of the two as a place to stay. it is extra cultured and Cosmopolitan than the Gold Coast and has extra effective (much less trashy) golf equipment bars ect. The Gold Coast is super to pass to however and its in basic terms a 50 min practice experience from Brisbane CBD. you're dissapointed once you get to Surfers, its a sleezy/trashy vacationer section yet its nonetheless a could see.
