Well, if you have split ends, you gotta get rid of them first, SORRY! But to keep them from coming back, use all natural shampoo & conditioners like Burt's Bees (I love their products!) and then put Organic Virgin Unrefined coconut oil on your hair when it's dry (or wet, but it's easier to tell if you're putting too much on when it's dry, cause if you use more than just a tiny bit, you're hair will look greasy). Works like a charm! Keeps your hair healthy, shiny & beautiful!

There is no product that will repair split ends, tho they all say they do. A split end, is just that, split! The hair shaft is separating and there's no "glue" in the world, that will stick it back together! You can only truly, get a trim, and don't let the hair split in the first place! It's processing or lack of proper care, that will split hair anyways. So get a good cut and then take really good care of your hair all the time! You can't put back, what's been taken away! It's gone! You can only rebuild from scratch! Good luck!

Sorry but trim is the best thing. The hair splits because of blow drying, curling irons, and just every day wear & tear. the ends get thin and split. So get your hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks and you'll notice your hair will start to get longer. Be sure you are happy with your stylist. There's difference between a hairdresser's inch and your idea of an inch. Make sure they know what it is!!

Pantene has a new product out for split ends and damaged hair. It works well. But sorry to say, a trim is the best.

Leave your hair down as much as possible. Limit styling products that have a high alcohol content (the ingredients list on hair products lists ingredients from highest content to lowest...for example: water, dimethicone, alcohol - this has mostly water, then dimethicone, then alcohol). And stop using ponytail holders - they break hair off every time you take one out of your hair. Use headbands or bandannas if you need your hair out of your face. And try not to twist or knot your hair - also breaks it off.

I think some kind of oil (maybe coconut) or even olive oil that hides the split ends and prevents from them reoccurring.

A good and cheap solution is to use a very little bit of baby oil, that you rub in at the dead ends.
