Oatmeal, cereal, fruits, vegetables (at this point, even if it is canned it will help because all you have to do is heat it up in a pan), chicken helper is pretty easy to make, eggs- (try making some omelets- you can add your own ingredients- maybe dice up some green pepper or red pepper, onions, diced ham (most grocery stores sell it ready cut), tomatoes (if you like), shredded cheese, you can add a little salsa or picante sauce for taste- , you could try the frozen food section for easy meals that you can put in a skillet or microwave in fairly little time, you definitely have a lot of options.... Also, try looking at some cookbooks for some ideas. My husband is a little underweight- not because I don't cook but because when he is at work he is so busy that he chooses not to eat- this happens even if I set him up a lunch bag before he leaves work.... My nephew used to have the same problem and he has gotten a lot healthier in the last 2 1/2 years. His doctor also said to increase his poultry intake...There are alot of things you can make with chicken. You can make baked chicken in the oven in a glass pan with water and a little butter for taste. I usually get the boneless, skinless chicken and put in a dash of salt/pepper and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Most of the time I will make some sort of potatoes and at least one vegetable to go with it, or if I feel like it- maybe some Kraft macaroni and cheese instead of the potatoes.... You could also try experimenting a little by making your own chicken fajitas....

Fresh fruits
LUNCH
Whole wheat or whole grain breads or rolls
Sliced turkey, roast beef and ham (deli counter)
Cheese slices (whatever kind you like)
Cans of soup
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Mayonnaise, mustard or whatever you like
Cans of ravioli or spaghetti O's or some hot lunch canned foods
DINNER
Chicken quarters (all you do it put these in a pan in the oven on 360 degrees until they turn brownish
Instant mashed potatoes (instructions on box)
Microwave, can or frozen vegetables such as corn, carrots, beans
Cans of chicken gravy
Chopped meat for tacos
Taco shells
Taco sauce
Shredded cheddar cheese
Pork Chops (just put them in a pan and fry them on the stovetop)

Get yourself some premade pudding or cookies. This will give you a treat for dessert.
Where do you live? I would be happy to take you to the store or cook a couple meals for you.

Go to the library and find yourself a betty crocker cookbook. Actually any one will do for you as a beginner, its just my favorite because it has all my recipes in it.
Look through the book a couple of times and see if there's anything that temps your appetite. you can make copies or write it down but copies are better.
You want a variety of foods. Protien (chicken) Dairy(milk cheese), fruits and vegetables. Carbs are ok in moderation. Some potatoes at dinner, or bread for lunch. That kind of thing.
Tuna is great for protien, easy for sandwiches at lunch.
If you still need someone to talk to, try the home economics teachers at school. You'd be surprised!
Be careful and happy meals!!!

maybe u can try cooking on your own!? it can be fun! but your nutrition is very important. for breakfast you should buy some bagels and fresh fruit like bananas, or something easy would be cereal (not sugary cereals), like cheerios or special K or frosted mini wheats. lunch, depending on what you like, get some sandwhich meat or tuna, bread, tomatoes etc. make your own sandwhiches! with ur sandwhich have a cheese string, fruit, salad, or apple sauce! Dinner would be harder if u cant cook, but you need some meat like chicken, steak or fish, and have some of your favorite veggies which have lots of nutrients. try to not drink soda. it will only make ur health worse. drink a lot of juices and water that will help you out SO SO much!
i am in a nutrition class right now so i have learned all about nutrition, and staying healthy is important to me! its hard to tell you what you should when i dont know what you like, but i hope that helped!

There are pouches of already cooked (Oscar Mayer) chicken breast strips in the lunch meat section of the grocery store. You can heat those in a tortilla with cheddar cheese, lettuce and salsa. They are a great protein source so stock up. Sliced turkey for sandwiches is really good so you might want to try some for a quick meal, get good bread that you'll eat.
The tortillas can be used to make cheese quesadillas or chicken quesadillas - lay a tortilla on a microwave safe plate, add some chicken and sprinkle cheese on top. Nuke it unitl the cheese is melted - about 45 seconds. Fold it over and eat it.
Instant Kraft mac& cheese that take 3 minutes to microwave and only need water added to make them. Very easy. Eat that with some salad (get salad in a bag), and heat up some chicken nuggets - that's not a bad lunch or dinner. Get some frozen chicken nuggets that you can bake or cook in microwave. Buy a couple of boxes at a time.
Instant oatmeal is very good for you and all you have to do is add hot water to it. Same goes with cream of wheat. Cheerios are very good and all you need is milk. Get milk. Whole wheat frozen waffles are very good, Eggo are my faves. Get some syrup, too. You are going to need to eat protein at every meal, so get yourself some pre-cooked frozen sausages that you can cook in microwave or already cooked bacon to go with your breakfast.
You don't have to cook or prepare fruit! Eat bananas, apples, stawberries, or whatever you like. Buy it fresh and it tastes great. You should have at least 5 servings of fruit/veggies per day so eat 'em up. Raw carrots and celery come cut up with little servings of ranch dressing so you can eat some fresh veggies without much work, just open them and eat.
You really need to drink at least 2 glasses of milk a day, so get yourself some milk. If you're not wild about it, add chocolate syrup or strawberry syrup to it.
You also need to find yourself some good multivitamins and take one a day. You probably need to eat three good meals a day and have lots of good snacks around like fruit, yogurt, veggies, too. You could probably get away with a dessert now and then so get yourself a treat for after lunch or dinner, not to be had instead of meals.
I wish you the best of luck my dear. Take care, hope your mom gets to the doctor and they find a solution to her depression soon. We want to know how you're doing so post another question again, ok? Ok.

guess what you are lucky... well not that your mom don't cook for you but chicken is so easy to cook. You can have eggs in the morning which are also very easy to cook. Look up http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf they have alot of good recipes that are good. If you like chicken fahitas those are easy too buy the fahita mix taco shells and cheese...it's that simple. If you need fiber frosted mini wheats takest good and have lots of fiber... You can also take fiber suplements. For lunch i use the leftovers from the night before they make a perfect lunch. Good luck. Take care.

Get your doctor on your side. She should be able to provide you with a meal plan, and from that, you can get a grocery list together.
Start with the food pyramid site, listed below.
