so my tongue ring is all healed up. but from using the harsh listerine and biotene repeatedly my tongue has what the peircer called a chemical burn. i havent used any mouthwash for almost a week. i have been brushing my tongue and rincing with water realy good. the burn is lightening but is there any way to make it go away faster?

There is something you can mix up called glyben. You can get both ingrediants at a drug store. Glycerine and Benadryl, use equal parts of each, gargol and spit. This is what works great for mouth sores in people who get them from seizures, so it most likely will work for your condition as well.

i don't think so, but you shouldn't have been using listerine to begin with....you never use alchohol on ANY pirecings, it's too harsh! i know it does no good now, but you should have used an alchohol free mouthwash, crest has one!, i wouldn't drink or eat anything hot, and eat some ice cream, jello, or popsicles

i only used something called gly-oxide, it was a glycerine based mouthwash. never had a problem. no alcohol in the solution, so it healed up nice. Good luck!

it's just going to heal on it's own. i've gotten a chemical burn from eating too many sour skittles :( it was horrible, but i had to deal
