Racist liberals hate all immigrants. Bush and other Republicans realize that America was created and founded by immigrants, and immigration is what makes America strong.

There is a HUGE difference between a legal immigrant and an illegal immigrant. People who are "shouting against immigrants" are discussing illegal immigrants. The vast majority of our ancestors (my parents included) are legal immigrants, who have a legal right to be in the country. Those who make the effort to become legal citizens deserve to stay in the country. Those who do not should not.

People aren't shouting against immigrants, they're shouting against ILLEGAL immigrants. Nobody cares if people enter this country legally.
I'm second generation Norwegian on my fathers side, so I am well aware that my ancestors were (are) immigrants. But they entered here legally, and became citizens after having done so. If people want to enter this country, then they can do the same.

Yes, I do realize that my ancestors, in this case my mother, was an immigrant. The difference being that she followed the laws and immigrated legally. She did not sneak across a border, steal a ssn#, or commit any other type of fraud. So therefore those that do sicken me and make me soo angry I could spit.
The ILLEGALS also made it harder for her to be accepted and subjected me and my brothers and sister to racial and bigoted rants which got me in alot of fights growing up. So is it any wonder that I am now bigotted against illegals. They have no business in our country and they offer no value to our society. They are no better than an infection in need of a good dose of antibiotics, in this case I believe Tom Tancredo of Colorado will be their remedy.

I don't know about your ancestors, but mine came over here and did it the right way. They went thru the process of becoming a citizen, worked hard and sent for their wives and children. I am not against immigrants. I'm against ILLEGAL immigrants who take advantage of the system. I pay taxes, I pay for medical...what do they pay for??? They go to our hospitals and are treated better than people with insurance. Somethings not right here. I worked with an illegal. He came here on a visa, then never went back to his country. He got a fake drivers license, made all his money under the table...had a better life than me. So that's the difference between my ancestors and the illegals

Yes we do M*on, but they came over when the total population in this country was small. Most of our ansesters that came through Ellis island had a variety of skills, as opposed to the current crop from "South of the Border". I might also point out that in NY the 2 million illegal immigrants are driving rents up due to supply and demand, as just one example. Another good point is the rise in drug resistant Tuberculosis in the US due to illegal immigration, shall I go on?

I think that most people with immigrant ancestors that complain about recent immigrants would answer that their ancestors came here legally and made an effort to assimilate by learning the language of the country and following the customs of the country. What they are saying is that they feel the recent ones are not making those efforts, starting by coming here illegally.
At least that is what the rational ones say to have an intelligent discussion of the issue. The others are just ranting because they are afraid that immigrants will rise up the economic ladder faster than they ever did.

In case you were not aware there is a very large difference between illegal immigrant and immigrants.
I hope you are not comparing my ancestors who entered this country with the blessings of our goverment to the illegal aliens perpetrating criminal acts on a daily basis inside the borders of the United States of America, because believe they share very little ( if anything at all) in common.

Everyone's ancestors were not immigrants. What about the native people of the land or the ones brought over in chains to work the land?
