The oldest trick in the book, that some doctors still prescribe today, for getting rid of a sore throat is gargling warm salt water. Put a coffee mug, about 2/3 full of water into a microwave for about 90 seconds. Mix in about 2 Table spoons of salt. Heating the water first helps the water and salt to mix better. It may burn a little, but it will kill the infection. Then eat a candy cane the candy will coat your throat and sooth it.
To brake a cold the quickest way is to sweat it out, while you sleep. Where warm cloths to bed and several blankets. Make yourself miserably hot, but make sure to drink plenty of water or tea with little to no sugar, so you don't become dehydrated. Try not to drink milk, or eat protein based foods such as meat or peanut butter, because they will make more mucus. Get plenty of rest.
To brake a fever take a cold shower or bath if you can stand it. Sleep nude or in just your underwear. Also Dr. Pepper was originally a medicine before it was a popular drink. Drink a cup diluted with water and it will help drop your temperature.
For a stomach flu licorice root tea, and echinacea are good to boost your immune system, but they are bad for a cold because they will make more mucus. Vitamin C is great for any sickness.
