If ur old car is still on the road, then the reg no will still be valid.
What u can do is contact DVLA give them the reg no and they will tell u if the reg no is still in use or if vehicle is scrapped. Under data protection act they cannot disclose to u who now owns the car but u may be in luck if u ask them if they would contact the present owners on ur behalf and ask them if they will give u a contact tel no and or address or if they would be kind enough by contacting u by telephone and if long distance it would be nice if u would allow them to reverse charge call

Judging by age it's probably been scrapped, but try the DVLA in Swansea. If it still on the road they probably won't tell you anything (data protection act) but its worth a try.

If it was sold ask the DVLA although I doubt they would disclose this info. If stolen - good luck!

Look where you last parked it. If it's not there, perhaps it's been stolen.
If this is a vehicle you used to have, forget it. You can't find it now.

If you still have the VIN somewhere or know it send it through carfax, that will give the history of the car and possibly who owns it now. good luck
