technically, a religion doesn't need to have a deity as a focal point, just a lifestyle (example: buddhism)

and by definition, atheism is the belief or DOCTRINE that there is no Divine presence existing.

so if they group themselves together in the disbelief of God and have a common lifestyle or common lifestyles, then technically they form a religion.

Its just some Christians that say that because they're a) trying to aggravate the Atheists by claiming the Atheists are a religion and b) uneducated and apparently unable to use the internet to look up definitions.

Atheism isn't a faith, yet continues to be secure under the 1st modification. many human beings look to improper that the liberty of religion skill in basic terms freedom to carry on with a faith with out the gov't stepping in. It additionally covers following no faith in any respect. And atheist businesses already get tax-exemption. All one has to do is carry on with for it. and that's a similar with militia symbols. you are able to carry on with for the emblem to be acknowledged.

It's not the atheists saying this. We are well aware that atheism is not a religion. It is usually the religious types who cannot fathom a life without faith who say this.

The idea that atheism is itself a religion is absurd...

Calling atheism a religion is like saying "bald" is a hair color.
