No, He did not. Kenny Wallace drove for Ernie Irvan after his injures. A year later, Dale Jarrett got it.

I searched a while on Yahoo, I found something that noted Mark drove the car for the injured Ernie Irvan, but can't find when and where it was he drove it. So I'm not sure what the deal is there.
I looked at Jayski's page, at Ernie Irvan's section, clicked on 1994 and all it said about it was this
"Ernie took over the #28 Texaco-Havoline Ford Thunderbird late in 1993
He and Dale Earnhardt were neck and neck in the Winston Cup Championship
Points when Ernie had a life threatening practice accident at Michigan in
August 1994. Kenny Wallace finished out the season in the #28 car."

OK, just so we're clear for these other answerers. The question refers to the Busch Grand National team that Ernie Irvan owned himself. When he was injured in 1994, he was driving the Havoline Thunderbird for Robert Yates racing. That is the ride that Destiny H is referring to.
I have been unable to find the information you want anywhere online, but may have it in the NASCAR yearbook for 1995. Perhaps I can dig that out tomorrow....
