Why do you get weak when you get sick ? Also is it normal to still be pretty weak a couple days after the flu ? I got the flu over a week ago ( yes it was tested in Dr office) and I am still so shakey and weak that I can barely walk. I have never been like this before so I was concerned.

There are lots of reasons why you get weak, first your body attempts to get rid of these microorganisms naturally, so instead of using the energy for day to day activities of daily living, our body uses it to fight them off, second, your appetite is poor, normal intake was decreased, thus, not enough energy converting food, and when you have fever, you lose lots of fluids and electrolytes, electrolyte loss makes you weak as well, any type of infection affects our nervous system, thus, just feeling generally weak.
