not such a good idea ... one, because both bananas & milk contain sugars, so going on a sugar diet for any lenghth of time is certainly not healthy, and two, you need proteins in order to lose weight ... both of these are sugary & contain carbs. so i'm not sure why you would want to do go on this "diet" or who would even suggest it. ??

Diets that promote the consumption of a very limited range of foods - for however long - are never a good idea.
Bananas are a great source of carbs as they contain fructose, a slow release sugar as well as being a rich source of potassium and fibre. Milk is a good source of protein and calcium, but it also contains lactose - a sugar - that some people have a hard time digesting. If that's the case avoid drinking much of it as you'll feel bloated and may suffer from diaorhea.
Now, for some perspective. A banana has around 80 calories and due to the fibre is quite filling. Therefore, eat 10 a day and that's 800 calories. A pint of non-fat milk has 200 calories. A glass of milk a day and a banana or two as part of a healthy, balanced weight loss plan are fine. But I'd suggest you forget about living off them for several days. You don't need to do that to lose weight and let's face it, it's going to get boring!

Becarefull with bananas, they are really good for you, but i have heard of people and even children dying from too many bananas. Sound silly but true. Even healthy things can be bad if not balanced
