Well if your dog is a puppy it could be just playing with your cat but if I really trys to hurt it you should get someone to old your dog and you hold your cat and put them next to each other and if the dog growls then smack it on the butt, but not hard. Then if your cat trys to claw your dog spray it with some water. That is just mainly teaching them right from wrong, Well I hope I helped you out Peace!

I have a 70 pound dog and a 7 pound cat. They actually like each other. The cat "face-marks" the dog all the time. They play a lot, and seem to communicate on some level.

Alpha male dogs have some dominance issues, so if they are not getting along, it's best to keep them apart as much as possible.

Cats are evil, Dogs are good and pure. They fight to answer the age old question of who will win...good or evil..to see evidence of the felines evil nature go to mycathatesyou.com I am currently using a daily dose of holy water and prayer on my cat. He has tried to kill myself and my dog on multiple occasions. Next step is an exorcist. To everyone else with a cat I can only say don't go down my path, make and exorcist your FIRST step.

They are two different breeds of animals, they just don't get along most of the time. Dogs are better with getting along with cats, but cats rarely like other animals, often even other cats.

If you're dog is big enough, he could very well kill your cat. It sounds like that's what he'd like to do.

Since they don't get along, I think keeping them apart is certainly best.

My dog doesn't care for cats, but she won't attack them either. It depends on the dog and the cat really.

They don't... I had two German Shepherds, also two inherited big dogs (a Doberman, and a Rottweiler) and they did not fight amongst themselves and allowed the 5 cats to sleep with them .... They all saw themselves as family and were a delight to own.... The Rotweiler was not used to cats, but immediately accepted ours and vice versa...

If they are allowed to fight it is not their fault, you are the Alpha in the house they must do as you demand, take charge and show them the way. i handle many dogs and cats if they are attacking each other it is because i can all owe it, so do your job they will always be that way until you show them its just not acceptable,
