I had really pretty blond dirty hair and over the summer i put sun in, in. I put too much in and it turned it like an orange. Then my roots started to come and and so i put a temporary brown in. But then i went into the sun and it made it and orange/red. So once again i dyed it a dark brown but this time it was permanent. Like 3 months later it turned red/orange again. So i put in blond highlights but you can still see the orange and red and other colors it turned into. But my hair is thin and really damaged. So i was wondering what i could do to get rid of all the color and make my hair dirty blond again without coloring it.
If somebody can answer me and help me out i would appreciate it.

Shave your hair like brittney spears and wait till it grows back.

You definitely need to let a professional take a look at it. When you do see a stylist be sure to let her know you used sun -in on your hair. That's one of the worst things you can put on your hair and most hairdressers hate it. Sun-in has been known to melt hair. The temporary didn't damage it because that just washes out. The first time you dyed it, the color probably just faded. The highlights were okay but that only takes care of part of your hair and you're still stuck with the part that you didn't highlight. I suggest first to invest in a really good deep conditioner. After shampoo & rinsing, apply cond to damp hair place plastic bag on your head and sit under dryer for 15-20 minutes. Also get your ends trimmed. Let a professional evaluate your hair and do a test strand. The only way to get back to your original color is to keep trimming it. Do not use a color remover that's more damage to your hair. Use temporary color. Make sure you're comfortable with the stylist. You are not obligated to let him/her do anything to your hair. The consultation is free.

To get rid of the color you must use hair color remover then recolor your hair. there is stuff called Ardell Red Gold Corrector and i think the other one is called Red Out you buy it in a little vial at the beauty supply store (Sally beauty). You can add it to your shampoo and it helps to cut the red gold in your hair that might help. It doesn't hurt your hair. You will probably have to either cut off most of your hair to a short style or wait for it to grow out. Make sure you get it trimmed often so the ends don't break off.

Take 3 aspirin and dilute them in a cup of hot water. Rub on your head and let sit for around 30 minutes and wash out. It will take the orange out and make it more blonde.I read this back in the 80's in a glamour magazine and tried it on my hair after using Sun-in and peroxide on my dark hair which turned it bright orange. It worked! Hope it works for you too.

Whatever you do, DON'T dye your hair again, it's too damaged and thin. The reason it turned orange wasn't that you used too much, but that you didn't leave it in long enough. I would suggest just leaving it as is until it grows out. If you do anything else to it you'll run the risk of it falling out.

in order to get your hair blonde after it has been dyed dark, you have to strip it, which is EXTREMELY damaging to your hair. if you say your hair is already damaged, i would suggest you let it go for now. get your hair back to a healthier stage before you do anything else.

the only way to do this without damaging your hair any further is to lighten it through highlights. big chunky highlights. this is a process that will take several sittings in order to get it to the right color. you should never go from dark to light in one sitting because you will burn your hair.

and whatever you do, GO TO A PROFESSIONAL!!!! they know what they are doing.

i wish you good luck and healthy hair.

The only way to get your hair blonde is to bleach it. You can buy an at home bleach kit from your local WalMart or other discount store.

I would not reccfomend doing this though since you mentioned your hair is very damaged. Bleach will only damage it more. It may damage it to the point where it will break.......

You may want to make an appointment at your local salon.

I don't know if there really is a way to take out permanent hair color without striping the hair. I suggest you go to a professional.

Go to a professional... and go somewhere good... sometimes the only fix is to spend the extra cash... a professional can deep-condition your hair before and after the color repair process to make stripping of your hair as minimal as possible... I hope this helps!

Wow though one. Ok I would definitly not try to do this at home. Even if it may be more expensive go to a professional. But don't go just anywhere go to someone that has good references. My hairstylist has all of her clients through references, and she does an excellent job. I really recommend that you seek someone through a referral such as a friend. Even if you pay more it shouldn't matter it will be worth it!

There is no way to do this without getting it professionally colored. You will need to have all the dye stripped and a color as close to your own as possible applied. It won't be cheap or fast, but it will work.
