In general, a 747 is the largest, followed by the 767, and the 757 is the smallest.

There are different versions of each of those planes, and there is some overlap in some dimensions. For instance, a 757-300 is longer and can even carry more passengers than a 767-200.

The 757 is a narrow body aircraft that seats 3 and 3 in coach class. Typically the aircraft seats between 180-220 people. The 767 is a wide-body aircraft with I think 2-3-2 seating in coach class. So there are 2 aisles. The range of the 767 is farther and the length of the airplane is a bit longer than the 757. The 747 is the largest of the 3.

The number designation is only because the 757 came out after the 747. The 767 was built after the 767.

The number is nothing more than a name for the airplane... the boeing fleet (aircraft still in production), in terms of size from smallest to largest goes:
373
767
Soon to be 787
777
747

All time, the 737 is the smallest model they have made and the 747 is the largest... other models they have made include the 757 which recently went out of production and the gap it made is filled by either a stretch 737 or short 767. The early models like the 707, 717, and 727 have faded away as more fuel efficient modles carrying about the same number of people came allong.

A boeing 757 is smaller than a 747. A 767 is wider than a 757, but external dimensions are fairly close.

No, the 757 is not bigger than the 747 or 767 the number diffefence is the time that the time the aircraft came out. [Note the 767 may be discontinued if orders for 100 767 tanker aircraft get cancelled beacause the shrinking orders of it.]

Ok, The 747 is Larger than the other Boeings. It has 4 engines. It also has 16 Landing gear tires. I dont know about the 57 but the 57 has 2 engines. Its typical 3 class configuration has 416 passengers. Its typical 2 class configuration has 514 passengers. It has 2 stories. The top is the bussiness class and the bottom one is the passengers. It has a large cargo place. It goes 567 MPH. The 747 is the largest Boeing. I think Airbus has one even larger. The Airbus A380.
