My dad tells me at least once a day that I should cut my (just-below-shoulder length) hair, saying that women will find me more attractive with short (ie, inch long or less) hair.
How much truth is in that statement? Or do women prefer a guy with long hair?

More information: I keep my hair was clean as possible. As well, it is all one length.

As long as you have some sort of style it's fine.
I too have quite long hair but not as long, and i have an attractive girlfriend (Which is a bonus, she's great :)).
In MY opinion i have hair around my neck with highlights and i feel i need it shorter. I'm getting it cut 4 cm shorter and layered.
I'd say don't get it cut too short, there are plenty of long hairstyles out there for men (not that long though). Give it a search in google.
Have your own style, not what your dad says.
That's my advice.

It all just depends on the preference of the women.....Some women like long haired guys while many, and I do mean many, do not......I've been told by a select few (I'm a guy by the way) that they love guys with long hair but I have also been told by women that guys with shorter hair gets more respect because it kind of shows that they care about themselves and its more "grown up".....of course those are the women who are more on the "doing something with my life" page, rather then the "I'm just trying to make it in this world".......So uh, take your pick

Personally I like short haired guys. My sister on the other hand likes guys with the punk rock look like Adam from Taking Back Sunday. I think that's still too long.

First, tell me your hair is all one length and not any where near a mullet. OK, if it's all one length and in good condition (your hair looks really healthy), then it can be a turn on for girls, if you also have a goatee. If you have that "artist" look about you, then it's cool. Otherwise, if you have a mullet or no facial hair or bad damaged hair, then the look will not be good.

NO! Unless you're trying to attract Poison or Whitesnake groupies....... Women think guys with long hair are LOSERS that are stuck in the 80's.....Short hair all the way!!!! No one will take you serious or think you are successful if you have long hair. It's just nasty. Listen to your Dad and you'll pick up more chicks!!!

Personally, I think most females are more attracted to guys with short hair. However, long on Olivier Martinez (in the movie Unfaithful) sure looked good on him.

i've been thinking of cutting it off, mine is about mid back or lower. It does slam the door for some girls, but opens it for others. My question is, do i want to blend in to the crowd or maintain my specialization? Utilizing a Niche is a very effective hunting and business strategy, especially if you cannot compete with the big boys.

My boyfriend has short hair, HoWeVeR, I went to Germany for 2 weeks and I think I met the most gorgeous german ever... curly blonde/sandy blonde hair (almost looked like heath ledger), and his hair length went down to his chin if not an inch or two longer.... HHHHHOOOOOTTTT... (but it'd be ugly on my boyfriend!) so it depends on the guy!

I don't like men with long hair or pony tails. I like men with traditional men's hairstyles. Doesn't necessarily have to be inch or less. Leave something for fingers run through or play with.

i think it depends on the guy if he should have long hair.... some guys look good others don't..... my boyfriend right now has short hair.... i couldn't imagine him with long hair it would probably look bad..... on the hand my friend had long sk8r boi looking hair.... can you say HOTTIE! well today i saw him and he cut his hair short... can you say butt ugly.... i couldn't really say for you because i don't know how you look or your personality... also i forgot to mention i don't like long long hair.... i like it when it looks sk8rish if it fits with the guys personality and other looks.... i would prefer short hair also because you can actually see his face and especially eyes.... my boyfriend has gorgeous eyes
