My dog does the same thing or he'll run laps around the coffee table. It doesn't hurt anything so we just let him go to tire himself out. After a few minutes, he'll just lay down and calm down- we find it funny.

If she's just running in circles every so often to release enough energy, no. If a bit of exercise doesn't slow this or if she's constantly doing this, take her to the vet. Prolonged, repeated tail-chasing can be a symptom of a serious seizure disorder. Use your instincts, though. If she seems like she's just having fun, then it's perfectly normal and there's nothing to worry about. She's just hyper XD

Yeah thats normal. My jack russell will do that sometimes after a long walk or being out in the rain. Also, after she has had a bath. I used to have a beagle that would do the same thing as well. It's just like a little burst of energy.

Yes this is normal dog behavior. My shih tzu tends to run around the coffee table about 17 times when i come home from work. I figure let them wear themselves out.
I think it is cute. Who else gets that excited to see me after work that they do laps in the living room? hehe

My dog does the exact same thing. She darts from place to place and jumps from one thing to another. It is just bottled up energy and you should play with your puppy to try and get some of that energy out of the puppy.

It's a happy run, when they're especially worked up they love to do that. It is the funniest damn thing I've seen, I literally will laugh until I can't breathe when my dog does that.

It's fine if your dog does this but it just means it wants to play I suggest you take it outside with you and play with it with a ball or something and is it a puppy? Or you might wanna take him/her to the park and play with it. Well hope I helped out Peace!
