he has a vet appt. today, but i'm trying to get more information before i go. he is 9 weeks old and the lens on his eye is a light opaque blue.

his eyes were orangish brown on friday and now his left eye has that blue tint only on the lens, if i look really good at it i can see the original color of his eye behind the lens. hope that makes sense.

Normally, all kittens have blue eyes - what color was it before?

If the color suddenly changed, that could be caused by a lot of things - it could be an infection, or maybe it's just his eye slowly starting to turn to its "adult" color. (That's unlikely, though, if it happened suddenly and in only one eye.)

It's impossible to say anything definite without actually seeing the cat in person, so it's good that you're taking him in today.

It may just be that it has a eye infection but you might want to take it to the vet because that happened to my kitten and it turned out that he was going blind.
