The best flat iron would be any one that is CERAMIC!!! The thing about Ceramic flat irons is that they can be adjusted to many temperatures. Although you have the heat up high it doesn't damage your hair because of the ceramicness.... you can purchase them anywhere from beauty supply stores or walmart.

Farouk Chi is the best..All heat that is added to your hair will cause some damage, but as long as you are using good products you will be okay. Chi has some really good products to help strengthen your hair.
I use the Keratin Mist, The silk infusion, Straight guard and the new Chi Ionic Protect, it is a leave in conditioning mask for color treated hair.
Below is the link to Farouk

The CHI is awesome! I was going to reccomend it before I even clicked on your links, I have one and I have a lot of friends who went to cosmetology school, and they swear by the CHI. It's certified ceramic so it's smooth on your hair, and it makes your hair like silk....I absolutely love the way it makes my hair feel, silky straight.

I like Revlon. About any brand is ok if it has ceramic irons. I tried the teflon coated ones and they are much harsher on hair.
