the exstance of god it seems with quantum theroy and things popping in and out of exsiatnce there would be people out there who would say this is gos will and blah blah blah HERE'S THE MAIN POINT OF THE QUESTION: WHY DONT CHRISTANS AS A WHOLE JUMP IN ON THE "PROVEN SCINECE BAND WAGON AND HELP DONATE TO SCINECE RESEARCH AND SUCH"

Because science is a major deterant to faith based fallacies... or science essentially disagrees with their doctrine. If the basis for religion is a texts accuracies, and they are proven inaccurate (which they have been) what good are false texts supposedly preaching the word of a divine figure? Thus, they choose to ignore logic and science for blind faith claiming science is trying to disprove god when in fact science would be just as happy regardless of what it proved.

Christians dont oppose science at all. Where did you ever get such a silly idea? Oh let me guess the media. All things in science are not proven. Let me guess you believe in evolution? Oh thats a great theory. Was my mother a fish or a monkey? Millions of fossils and not one shown during an evolution transformation. Another science fact for you if you know history. They scoffed at the Bible when they read you will never be able to count all the stars. We can count them all they said and they did. Now a few thousand years late scientist are telling us we can never count all the stars. Wow imagine that. A book written thousands of years ago stating clearly we cant count how many stars there are. Not some vague Nostradamus prediction which could mean a thousand different things if you want to. Dont waste your time trying to discredit God repent and be saved. Today is the day for salvation. Amen and Peace out.......

They try, but then any article that tries to prove the existence of God is usually ridiculed and discredited before it is ever published.

------------------------
...Creationists such as Humphreys have extensive publications in mainstream journals on non-creationist topics. As mentioned previously, the article by Scott & Cole was a search for articles openly espousing creationism, which is a different matter altogether. Creationists who publish scientific research in mainstream journals have found that they can publish articles with data having creationist implications, but will not get articles with openly creationist conclusions published. When they attempt to do this, their articles are usually rejected. Those who are well-known to evolutionists as creationists have more difficulty even with articles which do not have obvious creationist implications....

christianity has a lot on its plate. the main thing holding it all together is constant fear of eternal damnation. to form a concept of the one and ultimate god, that god would have to be a timeless void, representing the center of the universe and the beginning of time, from which all space surrounding is folded into an extreme amount of future spaces. the very nature of a timeless energy would ultimately reflect nothing of the very spatial and earthly terms we're used to, and thus our actions themselves would only matter in our ability to accept the infinite energy driving the expansion of the universe. the sheer stubbornness of scientific and religious communities prevents any real advances in either area.

I don't know of any Christians who don't believe in science. That assumption is ridiculous on your part. Scientific evidence has done a lot to prove various Christian beliefs. More intriguing (and a true scientist realizes that science works this way) scientists cannot disprove God's existence. God passes the scientific methodology at least as far as being able to disprove Him. What's your point?

If you can tell me that sciences will donate the same to protect God, if they can not avoid his Existence, I will be more than willing to do the same, because I do believed in the power of nature, although that doesn't mean that any of the so call scientist, can ever become sublime a/o divine, nor they will be able to claim they can be Omnipotent.....and steal as much Loving God is to those who follow HIM, and worship his Son, and you know why of my opinion, because I which to help you, you see because Satan doesn't need to believed in God, Satan Knows perfectly well, whom God is, and he will do anything in his Satanic powers to take you out way from GOD.......is this so difficult to understand?, ...... I don't have any predetermined ideas nor desires to tell you this, but the simple true is that we need to consider mind over matter, and sciences is interesting in matter, more than in finding out what is the essences in which believers base their self blindly many times to believed that he is real and he exist. such essences is in the forms???, in the forms in which you can accustom, and teach your own senses, and into development you and me can grow.?????.

I follow the God of the Bible and I'm studying to be a scientist. The Bible can compliment science. I LOVE how the Bible hasn't changed and how it has never been proved wrong, people try but Jesus said His Word will endure forever, and it will.

Science on the other hand CHANGES. Theories are changed to fit new observations, theories are disproven, new hypothesis are formulated and tested. Any scientist knows science is constantly changing. Any true follower of the God of the Bible knows God never changes and neither does His Word.

I love how the Bible has been FAR AHEAD of science for thousands of years, and it still is.

For example, I learned in botany that the only source of atmospheric oxygen (O2) comes from plants. We know humans need O2 to do aerobic respiration (make energy). Therefore, plants had to be here BEFORE humans.

Very well.

Now, the plants need water (H2O) to make the atmospheric oxygen. It took scientists YEARS to figure that out. They once believed the O2 came from CO2, but that was proved wrong. Anyways, water had to be here BEFORE plants.

Very well.

What has the Bible said for centuries before scientists made these discoveries?

Genesis 1:9-13 9 Then God said, “Let the waters beneath the sky flow together into one place, so dry ground may appear.” And that is what happened. God called the dry ground “land” and the waters “seas.” And God saw that it was good. Then God said, “Let the land sprout with vegetation—every sort of seed-bearing plant, and trees that grow seed-bearing fruit. These seeds will then produce the kinds of plants and trees from which they came.” And that is what happened. The land produced vegetation—all sorts of seed-bearing plants, and trees with seed-bearing fruit. Their seeds produced plants and trees of the same kind. And God saw that it was good. And evening passed and morning came, marking the third day.

--There we go, water came before plants. Plants were created on the 3rd day. Moving on--

Genesis 1:27-31 So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God He created them; male and female He created them. Then God blessed them and said, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Then God said, "Look! I have given you every seed-bearing plant throughout the earth and all the fruit trees for your food. And I have given every green plant as food for all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, and the small animals that scurry along the ground—everything that has life.” And that is what happened. Then God looked over all He had made, and He saw that it was very good! And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.

--To recap, on the 3rd day, God made plants. Water was dealt with before the plants on the 2nd day (see Genesis 1:6-8 for that). Now that the plants can use the water to make O2, there is O2 in the air. Now that there is O2 in the air, on the 6th day, God made man and woman.

--Yay for science! It caught up to the Bible!

This is just one of many examples.

Perhaps you've seen the Greek god Atlas with the world on his shoulders. Why? The Greeks believed Atlas held the earth up. Another faith believed an elephant held up the earth. People used to think the earth was flat. People believed Christopher Columbus would fall off the earth if he sailed too far.

What has the Bible said for centuries before these things were found to be wrong?

Job 26:7 He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; He suspends the earth over nothing.

Isaiah 40:22 He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

--Those are just a few examples and I could go on with dinosaurs, stars, underwater mountains, atomic fission, ocean currents, the hydrologic cycle, the jet stream, and so much more.

If you take the time to look, it's easy to see the Creator of the heavens and the earth knows what He is talking about in the Bible because He made it all.

By the way, reguarding science, it is possible to have a controlled experiment and still arrive with incorrect results. That is one reason experiments need to be reproduceable, so other scientists can conduct the same experiement, get the same results, and formulate their own discussion and conclusion.

I believe Christians, as a whole, don't jump in on the "proven science band wagon and help donate to science research and such" because Jesus said to not store our treasures in this world. This world is going to pass away. In eternity there will be an entire new set of physics and science.

With that said, I'm sure there are Christians who DO donate to science. As for myself, you could say I'm "donating" my intellect to science because I'm majoring in biological science (maybe even biochemical science, they both interest me a lot and I love seeing God's hand in it all).

Jesus, in His resurrected body, walked through locked doors to meet with the Apostles. The Bible says those who are 'born-again' will have a body like His (incorruptible among many other things).

The most important things are for 2 Corinthians 5:17 to happen to us because of John 3:3. E-mail me if you want more information on those examples I mentioned.

I'm sure they have tried. But it is impossible to prove such existence.

I believe in God yet I know it's impossible to scientifically prove he exists. I'm fine with that,

Science cant be used to prove God, just like science can't be used to disprove God. One must remember God is beyond time and space. So until you can figure out how to go beyond time and space, I will continue to believe God is there, that God is real and God is my creator and my Lord and Savior

Im all for Science, I like it, and it teaches us alot of things.

Science, in my eyes, has never disproven God, so I can believe in both, and I do.

Two thumbs up for science, from a Christian, by the way.
