I met this guy on the internet in Oct 05 and we have only had phone conversation, which made us very close, we talk and share everything with each other, we both were going thru some hard break ups at the time and really helped each other get thru them. since we have never met face to face it we made a decision to jst be friends, but in the meantime very strong feelings became invloved, he unfortunely got back with a old high school sweetheart, but he can't seem to let me go and i can't let him go.
So i decieded I would travel to finally see him and tell him that we need to just keep our relationship to a friendship only level ( we were way past that if you feel me, we are dying to be together physically) anyway so that was my plan i had to let him go somehow because I really love him and don't want to get hurt. So i went to see him finally and the chemistry was way stronger than i expected, he really can't let me go , i feel as thoug we are soul mates what should i do?

Ok.. so you both love each other and both of yous can't let each other go ...thats means you should hook up. Tell him to dump is girl for ya and if he does then you know he's your one.
But if you didn't wanna see him anymore , why did you bother to go see him.?? I bet in your heart you went to go see him to see if he felt the same. But if you love him tell him ...and if its meant to be then it will be.
And to the guy that answered first..Yes there are soulmates..!!!!
If you don't believe thats your problem.

I met my b/f on the Internet over 4 years ago. after about 6 or 7 months of talking almost every day he came to visit me for a week. He came to my house and i was scared to death. He was great and after he went home I immediately made arrangements to go to see him. (Denver by the way)...im in Tennessee. Well he decided that I was not going to fly back to Nashville, he was going to rent a u-haul and move back here with me. We have been happy every since and it will be 5 years in December that we moved in. 6 years since we started talking next month. Internet relationships can be wonderful if you are both willing to give and you are old enough to handle it. I was 45 at the time and he was 35....however you were saying something about a high-school sweetheart. How old are you? because if you are under 30, I would be very careful and just live a carefree life for a while. Don't worry about having kids. My sister in law just had 2 kids and she just turned 40 so don't rush your precious young time.

The last two statements in that description are important to express to him. "The chemistry I felt with you was way stronger than I expected and I kind of feel like you're my soul mate... I want more... and that's all I want you to know."
Say no more than that. It's kind of direct and, in a way, seems kind of shady to go at a guy that is "taken" like that, but you need to be fair to yourself and take the chance. It's the only way to know what potential this has.

Let him know how you feel. If he doesn't agree, if he didn't feel the strong chemistry, it's just not meant to be and you should walk away before you get more hurt.

Unfortunately, its not your call. If he is unwilling to let go of you AND his girlfriend, then you have to cut all ties. Untimately its his call... since you're willing to be with him... but if he cant make the decision... you have to do it FOR him. If he can't let her go, then he's obviously not "the one"

there's no such thing as "the one".. there's no magical mysterious force controlling love.. if you're compatible it will work.. if you're not compatible, it won't work.. simple as that..
