Your question really is where did Jesus (who most Christians believe to be 100% God AND 100% human) get his Y chromosome if the virgin birth story is true? In known "virgin" births in nature the offspring have always been female (no Y chromosome).
Sounds like a miracle to me.

In my opinion, no. According to a common view he was immaculately conceived by Mary without any mixing of DNA at all. So my suspicion is that Jesus would have the same DNA as his mother except for the one difference that makes him male.
After all, he was human so you're right that he would have to have DNA... I guess no one has asked this question before that I'm aware of.

First of all Jesus is/was 100% man and 100% God - but God does not have DNA as He is Spirit. So really don't know the answer to this but I hope this sheds some light on these facts. Blessings to you dear one.
One more note - Jesus and God are one and the same - Same Spirit of God. Jesus said "if you have seen Me, you have seen the Father."

God has no DNA, because God is not His own creation, nor is He like His own creation. He is a spirit, He is not limited to containment within a human body.
Jesus was a man, a Messenger of God. God didn't beget a son, begetting is for those in the animal kingdom like us, homo sapiens. God doesn't need begetting because He created begetting as well, so He does not have the physical characteristic of begetting like His creations do.

God is a trinity of three beings. God the father, God the son and God the Holy Spirit. You cannot apply human genetic makeup to God. The majority of people, if not all people, struggle with the concept of a trinity being. There is no genetic make-up of God, only his personification as the Father, his earthly appearance as Jesus Christ and his role as the "Comforter" or Holy Spirit. We cannot begin to understand, or place human factors and understanding, around God in his form as Jesus.

Jesus is not the son of God because God doesent have son, sister, brother, family, partner or anything!
God is alone!
No body shares him everything!
Jesus is a prophet like all the other prophets!

Christians do not believe that Jesus is the son of God in a physical sense. God forbid that he should take a wife! That would be blasphemy.Because God is so much greater than man, He chooses to express Himself in human terms so that we can understand Him.

Son of God is more of a role He took on.
We have one God. Made up of three figures, The Father, The Son, and the Holy Ghost.
Jesus was all God, but born in the flesh. So He was also man. Yet He called himself the son of man as well. He was the son of man, and Son of God.
All God.

I'd have to conclude that half of Jesus' chromosomes are nothing but spirit. God would only have spirit DNA.
