I tried it with my sister two years ago and lost 21 lbs in 12 days. Was extremely hungry tho!

My brother did it and he is skinny anyway because he goes on fasts for "spiritual" reasons.....

Anyway, I'm not sure about weight loss, but it did work as a detoxifier. After a few days, he started to--- ah, go to the bathroom-- and it wasn't normal-- it was like stuff that had been trapped in his colon. You know what I mean?

It's kind of gross to talk about it... but you can have build up in your colon... and the Master Cleanse can help you clean that out.

He said he felt a lot better after the cleanse.

I want to do it sometime because I definitely think it works, but I'm scared not to eat. I worry about the effects of that. And I wonder if I could even do it.

Also the cayenne pepper, maple syrup (get the right kind of maple syrup-- don't get the wrong grade-- I think it's grade 2), and lemon-- is actually very tasty. I drank some and I really liked it.

Good luck!

Doing the Master Cleanse is not about losing weight primarily, it is about detoxing your body...of course you will lose weight since you're not eating. I do it a couple times a year just to clean out my system, and I do lose a few pounds but more importantly I feel great after doing it. If you can hang in there for at least 3 days...by the third day you'll feel really good! Drink LOTS of water too and also make sure you are emptying out your system (#2) with healthy, natural options like herbal laxatives or you can also do a warm-water sea salt flush, it tastes bad but works. (1 qt. warm water with 2T of coarse sea salt) Stay near a bathroom if you do that - and remember when you start eating again, start the first day back with just fruit juice, then fruit, then add veggies and not too complex, healthy foods...give yourself a couple days to get used to food again and especially meat or you'll feel sick. good luck

Yes on what Bice710 said, but it's 2 teaspoons of Celtic Sea Salt (non-iodized) for the salt water flush. Salt is toxic at high levels & 2 Tablespoons will make you vomit.

I'm on my 2nd time of the Master Cleanse & it is an excellent cleanse.

Listen to "bice710". The Cleanse is NOT a diet.

It works as long as you stick with it. If you can do at least a week you should see results.
