Of course they can. The more they are around each other the less shy they'll become. And they'll understand each other well.

Oh you bet. As a matter of fact they probably make the best couples because they tend to spend all their time and emotions on each other. As long as you are not shy toward each other, then you will probably be married 50+. Good luck to you and remember to keep the doors of communication open at all times.

I can't automatically say yes, but I must say I lean in that direction.
With a shy counterpart, one never has to worry that you have nothing in common. The way you both think must be very similar for the two of you both to be shy.

yes...as long as one of you pick up the phone and call the other once in a while!!! trust me!
My mom's friend ( yes i know...sad) tried to hook me up with her shy nephew. (i'm totally shy). Mom's friend pushed us together at a party unannounced (i'm 20yrs old for goodness sakes!) and we were pretty much told to talk to each other. Well we did for about 30 minutes of the 3 hours we were together...the 2 1/2 hrs..we just sat in akward silence.

yess.. there is no reason that they couldn't.. if you are both realllly shy.. try spending time together.. just the two of you.. just watching movies or something... you can get to know each other without being in the spotlight of anybody's judging eye.. and by doing this you will probably feel a lot more comfortable around each other.
