I just wished I could cook just one complete meal at a time and have everybody eat it. My daughter only eats chicken fillets and hot dogs and my son is very picky about vegtables. When they grow up my meal planning will be a breeze. How have other Moms planned meals, etc. so they want feel frustrated?

i cook one meal and i like for us all to eat together. once a week i get lazy and we all eat cereal or i will make 3 different "lazy meals". like waffles, turkey sandwiches, macaroni cheese, nothing complicated.

I just got sick of that, and started to make meals and they either ate it or not. I was not going to deal with their pickiness anymore. Somethings I can understand them not liking, because I dont like certain things either. But when they like one thing one day and hate it the next, that is getting ridiculous. Today at lunch we had spaghetti, salad and corn. Well, the first thing my 7 year old son said when he sat down , was "actually I didnt want any spaghetti" I just told him, that is too bad. THat is what you eat and if you dont eat it, then you have to wait until supper. They are learning now to eat their food if they dont want to have to wait until later to eat again. Could sound harsh to some people I suppose, but Im not going to make a separate meal for everyone.

Well, I have three kids (2 mine and one step), and they don't get options on what to eat, and they never have.

Whatever we are having for dinner, that is what they are going to eat. If they choose not to eat, then they go hungry. Trust me, they will not starve - eventually they will eat! I don't know how old your kids are, but this has worked for me since my kids were eating table food. We usually have planned meals, and then once a week it's "kids choice" - at that meal they can have the chicken nuggets and hot dogs.

You are in control when it comes to what your kids eat. Don't let them control you! Be firm and you will be doing them a favor. Kids that eat prefer to eat the same thing (usually processed foods) have the potential to develop vitamin deficiencies, and stealing your sanity!!

I make one meal and the kids eat or not. There is another meal in a few hours and I am always sure they will be hungry then.

just fix basic meals, and if they wont eat it, too bad, they're the one's who are gonna be hungry, just try to make sure there is at least 1 thing each meal that you know each person likes.

(this all depends on age, over 2 years old you can do this, a kid will not starve himself, he will eat when hungry)

Well my fiancee and I work during the day so when we get home around 7 pm we just get fast food or fix an instant meal. My 3 year old is not picky (thank god) so she eats anything.
