I have heard many times that pro-life people constantly bomb abortion clinics and murder innocent people and target doctors. Then I looked at the statistics one day and saw that there have only been 7 murders in the US related to abortion since it became legal in the 70s. Certainly these 7 are a tragedy, but I was under the impression that it was hundreds of murders. Why do pro-choice people make it sound like they are constantly under attack by maniacs when evidence and facts clearly show otherwise? Do liberals make pro-life people sound violent for political reasons?

eviltruit, not acts of violence, just murder. i didn't add in acts of violence because that is a very subjective statistic. Some people consider things shouted at them as they go into a clinic as a threat and, therefore, a form of violence. Also, throwing a rock through a clinic's window could be considered violence. You can find bias info from different organizations if you report violence, so I stuck with murders, which is a less bias statistic.

So that is 7 murders by the "pro-life" side and over 42 MILLION by the "pro-choice" side? Hmmm...

Where do your stats come from? I notice that you didn't cite a source. Does your statistics include violence other than murders? Do they take into account physical altercations at protests or unsuccessful attempts at bombings or killing? What is your definition of violence? I would consider forcing a woman to carry a child against her will an act of violence, or at the very least slavery.
I personally don't like or use the term "pro-life", I think the term "anti-choice" is a more accurate description of what they're about. They hold a particular religious belief, and cannot handle the fact that some people do not share it. In this country, we are free to hold whatever beliefs we like, and the "anti-choice" crowd wants that freedom recinded.

Wow, your info is absolutely wrong. The situation that happened in California a few years bag killed more than that. Further, murders or assaults that are reported are not the only factor. I have PERSONALLY witnessed shoving, grabbing and things that you do not do to others at abortion clinics. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but no way no how any one is going to tell me what I can do or not do with my body or whether I will or will not deliver a child. Pro-lifers are entitled to write congress, picket or do anything legal and unharmful in order to try to control the lives of others but violence (including over zealous incidents of shoving and the like) is not to be tolerated.

7 really? Im Pro-life, and even I have bought into the propoganda that there were WAY more bombings and murders than that, shame on me.
I think though, a BIG part of the reason, is that so often the protests are the problem. Barring the doors, making it impossible for clients to enter, or leave, making threats either by yelling as they protest, or in letter form, is what earns them the title of being violent. Plus, they do this often, when young women are sometimes making a very difficult choice, and that just shows how uncompassionate they can be.
Like I said, I am pro-life, but would NEVER behave the way so many radicals do.

I once went to a Planned Parenthood clinic with a friend so that she could get counseling. When we got there a woman ran up to us a screamed in our faces that we were murderers and that we should have our throats cut, I asked this person if she would like to pay for the medical bills and also raise the child , she didn't have an answer, these people want to condemn but don't want to take responsibility for there beliefs. By the way my friend was getting counseling for being a rape victim and was afraid to go back because of this person's actions.

Only 7 murders by anti-abortionists?
Let's see here...on the pro-choice side, there was one guy who shoved an anti-abortion protester who'd accosted his wife. I believe that's the extent of the violence from this side.
How many bombings, direct threats, and other terrorist activities have the anti-abortionists committed? How many anti-abortionists directly or indirectly sheltered terrorists like Eric Rudolph after they committed their crimes?
Certainly the vast majority of anti-abortion people have never committed acts of violence in support of that position. But violence, threats of violence, and support of violent people are all part of the anti-abortion movement, and utterly absent from the pro-choice side. If these things were done by Islamists, the government would have long since frozen the assets of the major anti-abortion groups for supporting terrorism. Christians once again get a free pass, and yet still complain about being persecuted.

Good question. I was recently corrected about this. I thought that bombings and murders were common, but apparently not so common. That these people exist, however, who would kill a human to save a fetus, is an important thing. Have there ever been murderous pro-choicers?

Billy Graham said on Larry King that Pro-Lifers are right wing extremists
Pat Robertson says Pro-Lifers are right wing extremists and should not have a seat at the Republican party table..
What does that tell you ? Either Billy Graham and Pat Robertson are heretics OR Pro-lifers are "right wing extremists" - which is right ?

I believe it is the hypocrisy of pro-life people murdering people to protect what they call "murdering unborn children" that makes the issue seem more widespread than it is. Whenever you have an action that takes place that is so completely illogical to what the cause is, exaggeration of events will surely take place.
Personally, I chalk these radical pro-life folks up with radical terrorists that feel the need to kill a plane full of innocent people so their God will love them and take them to their next level.

Try talking to Planned Parenthood someday. You'll see that those numbers are a hell of alot different than the biased Pro-Life web sites and programs would lead you to believe.
In case you didn't know, Wikipedia isn't always right.
