Most canned creamed soups are thickened with flour and contain about 9 grams of carbs per reconstituted cup for chicken or mushroom soup. Not exactly loaded, but not low-carb either.

Premium creamed soups thickened with actual cream will contain less carbs and more fat, for example chicken broth mixed with heavy cream will contain only 2 or 3 carbs per cup.

You need to look at the other ingredients as well; tomato bisque is loaded with carbs due mainly to the tomatoes.

No, creamed soups mainly consists of a cream base, so that is fat. The carbs are going to be what is in the soup, like rice or potatoes, or noodles.

I just checked a can of cream-o in the cupboard. One of those Campbells creamo soups is 2.5 servings! So it's high in carbs, sodium and fat if you eat the whole can!

But I still use them. :)
