3-4 weeks.
Keep her away from all intact males during this time, do not let her outside unsupervised, even in a fenced yard. A male will go to great lengths to get to a female in heat, including digging under, or scaling over a fence, some types of fence can be bred through.
Once her heat is over have her spayed asap. This will not only preven unwanted litters and the mess of a heat cycle, it will greatly lessen her chances of mammary cancer later in life, and will completely eliminate chances of uterine cancer and pyometra, a uterine infection which can be deadly if not treated promptly.

Usyally about 21 days but they will normally only be fertile between 10th-14th days.thats a general rule of thumb!some dogs can take as early as the 8th day or as late as the 20th.
